Lots of Sleeping and playing in our Bumbo

Peyton has so much fun during the day that she can't help but fall asleep. I hope that we are not boring her? Brandon and I love to watch how peaceful she looks while she is sleeping and it never stops us from taking her picture. Here are a few cute pictures of Peyton over the weekend.

I love playing on my activity mat that my cousin Audrey is letting me borrow, that I just wiped myself out.

Saturday morning I was getting breakfast made, so I put Peyton down on her blanket and this is how Brandon found her when he came to see her.

I am getting so good at rolling over that I think that I will just sleep on my side.

She is just too cute!

Last Thursday night I was watching TV waiting until it was time to nurse Peyton, so Grandma Reiff was getting some cuddle time with Peyton before she went to bed. I guess the two of them had so much fun during the day that they were both wiped out. They looked so cute together and I hated that I had to wake them up.

Bumbo Time! Peyton is getting so big and it was time to get the bumbo out. We have lots of fun singing and reading together while she sits in her chair.

Peyton is to busy watching Wrigley then to look at the camera.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Brandon!

Yesterday was a great day to celebrate how much Peyton loves her Daddy. I have to tell you that the day started off pretty funny. We were all getting up for the day and Brandon was changing Peyton's diaper and before he could get the new diaper on Peyton decided to let a little poop fly. It was too funny not to laugh and Peyton was giving her Dad the biggest smile, so Brandon could do nothing but laugh about getting pooped on. The rest of the day was very relaxing as Brandon was able to enjoy watching golf and eating some good food.

Proud Daddy and Peyton loves you so much.

On Saturday morning Peyton was able to see her Grandma and Grandpa Yoder. It was so great to see you both and sorry no pictures.

Happy Father's Day Brett!

Wrigley time and first wedding

This past weekend we went to Kansas City for a wedding for one of Brandon's high school friends. Peyton was so good and slept through the whole wedding ceremony and really enjoyed the music at the reception. Brandon and I also had a great time and were able to enjoy a few dances together while Peyton melted all the hearts of Brandon's friends.

Wrigley is so good to Peyton even through she is really jealous of the attention that she gets. They love each other already.

I love sleeping in my crib

Last Thursday Peyton slept in her crib for the first time. She had taken naps in her crib before, but this was the first time that she slept throughout the whole night. She was great and Mom was great even though it was hard waking up and not seeing her beautiful face first thing in the morning.

Just swaddle me and I can sleep anywhere.

Mom...Stop taking my picture and let me sleep!

I love my crib.

Tornado hits Manhattan

Last night around 11pm a large tornado ripped through Manhattan. Brandon, Mom, Peyton and I drove to Bramlage Coliseum (where we work) to take cover. We stayed in my office watching the news for a while and then decided that we needed to take more cover farther under ground, so we moved to Brandon's office. Mom, Peyton and I waited out the storm in the Training Room and Brandon and Ryan (Friend and my co-worker) played basketball out on the K-State basketball court. The tornado hit the North side of KSU campus and Bramlage is located on the northwest side. We feel very lucky that the tornado missed our house, but we are just devastated for the many families that are without their homes this morning and the others that are still without power. Please keep the people of Manhattan in your prayers.

Miller Ranch was the worst hit home division with 30 homes flattened. Here are some images of what an EF3 Tornado can do.

Pictures of the Toyota Dealership that is located on the west side of Manhattan. The Ace Hardware store that is right next to the dealership is no longer there.

Here is a link to 49 ABC News (Topeka) of the tornado hitting our home town Manhattan, Kansas. This is the same video coverage that Mom and I were watching and you can only image the scary sick feeling that we were getting watching the Tornado get closer and closer to where we were.

Roll Over...Roll Over

Yesterday was a very exciting day at the Yoder House. Peyton has been rolling back and forth the last couple of days and looking very close to rolling over onto her belly. Last night while my Mom and I were fixing dinner, Peyton was laying on the floor in the living room. Grandma went over to check on her and quickly yelled for me because Peyton was rolling over. I didn't get there in time to see her roll over, but I know that she did because she was on her belly. I turned her back over onto her back and she kept trying to do it again but it just wasn't happening and she started to get mad. We'll see if she will roll over again tonight so Brandon and I can see her do it.

We were so excited to see her rolling back and forth the other day and now we are shocked that she has already rolled over.

YEA...WAY TO GO PEYTON!

2 Month check up...

Peyton went to the doctor yesterday for her 2 month check up. She had to get 4 shots and Mom was a little worried about how things would go. I have one tough baby girl! She cried (screamed!) while getting her 4 shots, but who could blame her. The nurse was great and got them done really fast and within a few mintues Peyton had calmed down. Her doctors appointment was at 12:30pm yesterday and she was a perfect baby for Grandma Reiff the whole rest of the day. Grandma Reiff is in town this week to watch Peyton while I am back to work and I am glad for her sake that Peyton was in a good mood after getting her shots.

Here is Peyton's 2 Month Update:
Head: 38 1/2 cm. 40%
Height: 23 1/4 in. 75%
Weight: 11 lb. 6 1/2 oz 47%

Dr. Duff was very happy with what he saw in her percentages and how well she has started to hold her head up. Peyton is our strong long and lean baby girl.

Peyton is still having problems with her right eye, so she ended up getting some eye drops to help clear up what I call eye burgers. I hope that it works since they cost us $60. I hope that your mouth as dropped just like ours did when we had to pay for them.

My Mom took this picture yesterday to show me how well Peyton was feeling. Grandma was happy that Peyton was feeling so well after the shots that she just wanted to sleep.

Here's my tough girl showing off her sexy band aids!

Hanging out with Mom & Dad...Bath Time!

The weather here in Manhattan was a little scary yesterday, but we went over to a friends house to take cover in their basement. I am glad that we decided to go over to their house because a tornado was spotted about 8 miles East of our house. Normally I don't have a problem with tornados, but we don't have a basement and I want to make sure that Peyton is safe. The worse that our house got was that the yard was flooded when we got back to our house last night around 8:30pm. We have had 2 nasty storms this week and we are ready for a break in the weather.

Since I went back to work this week it has been nice to come home to my beautiful baby girl and just hang out. Peyton has started giving us little smiles and I love just watching her face waiting for the next smile to happen. I am not sure yet, but I think that she might have a dimple on her left cheek.

Dad hanging out with Peyton on the floor while Wrigley looks on.

Peyton was just kicking and kicking like crazy while laying on the floor with Dad and Wrigley getting her exercise.

Whew...What a workout! I'll just take a little nap now.

Hanging out with Mom, but the TV is way more interesting to look at then the camera.

Thanks for the help Mom while I start getting me legs stronger while I push myself to stand up. Such a serious face.

I love bath time! My face looks like I am not so happy to be in this bath tub, but really I don't mind getting clean at all.

Dad...a little privacy please!

2 months went way too fast...

Yesterday Peyton turned 2 months old. I can't believe how fast those 8 weeks flew by. She is changing all the time and I am just trying to take it all in so I don't forget this time in her life.

Here is my baby girl at 2 months.

Peyton is snuggling up with her teddy bear and showing you just how long she is getting. Peyton is very long and lean.

We go to see the doctor this coming Monday, so I will update on just how big Peyton is getting. Wish us luck because I know that Peyton is not going to enjoy this visit. We have to get lots of shots.

True Blue Tradition

Last weekend we went home to Kansas City to have our annual family garage sale. After a long successful day we decided to go to the Royals game. This was Peyton's first MLB game. She has been to so many baseball games in the last 2 months that she is a pro at sleeping through almost the whole game. The Royals won after a 12 game losing streak, so Peyton must have brought them some luck. Grandma and Grandpa Yoder also came down for the weekend to get their fix of Peyton. We had a great time and it was nice to be with the whole family for my last weekend before I had to go back to work.

This is what Peyton likes to do during baseball games...sleep.
