Elmo is the new favorite toy
Peyton's favorite toy right now is Elmo! Brandon and I got her this toy at Christmas, because while we were visiting our friends the Hoyt's their son Carter had one and she really loved it. If you move Elmo's mouth he talks to you and Peyton thinks that it is the funniest thing. She will pick Elmo up and shake him over and over again to hear him giggle and talk to her. It truly is funny to watch her do this. I am working on getting a video of it so you all can see just how much she loves her Elmo.

Look what I can do...
The past week as been another exciting week to watch Peyton try and do new things. Awhile back I heard my friend Carrie say she wanted her daughter Emerson to stay 10 months forever. At the time I didn't understand, but now that Peyton is 10 months I completely agree. It seems like Peyton is doing something new and different everyday.
Over the weekend I was watching Peyton learn to clap. She would put her hands together and clap a few times and then look at her hands like what did I just do. She now has clapping down and will clap at everything that makes her happy.
On Wednesday night I had Peyton's bottle ready for her, but I let her keep playing with her toys until she was ready for it. I have seen her grab and hold onto her bottle, but she would prefer that we hold it and give it to her. To see if she would grab the bottle and feed herself I placed the bottle close to her on the floor. It didn't take long before she saw it and crawled over to pick it up. She ate a little bit but then just ended up playing with it until I picked her up to give her the rest. Truthfully I love that she likes that I hold her bottle to feed her and that she doesn't want to do it herself. I just wanted to see if she would do it herself and she can.

peyton being peyton
BIG NEWS to share is that Peyton sat up all by herself on Sunday night! Brandon saw her do it on Sunday and last night I saw her sit up for the first time. It is exciting times at the Yoder house these days.
Last night it was so much fun for me to just sit back and watch Peyton playing with her toys. I had to get the camera out to catch the moment to share because it was a lot of fun watching her to see what she was going to do next. She just sat there and played for a lot time and her toys were everywhere when she was all done.
Peyton was taking many toys out of the baskets, but stopped when she got to her favorite book.
Peyton is working on drinking from her sippy cup. She can get some of the juice out, but is having trouble tilting her head back far enough to get the rest.
Making lots of love to some cookies.
Watch Peyton having fun playing with her toys. The best part of the video is when she can't decide which hand to hold onto the bag with...love it!
P.S...I know that my daughter is wearing the same outfit in these last two post and I wanted to point out that she does have more clothes that I put her in.

10 Months Old...
Peyton turned 10 Months old yesterday! I have loved every stage and growth that Peyton has gone through, but I have to say that this is such a fun age right now with her. I get so excited when she starts doing something new, but at the same time I am so sad and say stop getting older. In the past week Peyton started crawling...yea! and also started to hold her sippy cup by herself...yea! We have lots of baby talk going on but nothing that sounds like a normal word. Both of her two bottom teeth are in and it looks like the top two canine (vampire teeth is what I call them) look like they will break through the gums any day. Peyton's hair is really starting to get thick all over, but her bald spot has not gone away just yet. I really do check her while she is sleeping to make sure that she is not laying on that spot to help it go away. Everyday is something new and we can't wait to see what she is going to do next.
Peyton is such a wonderful baby girl and we feel so blessed everyday.
