Sweet Baby Girl

Peyton was playing around on the floor Saturday morning and this is how we found her playing with her toys.

We hope that all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy time with your family and friends.

Love,
The Yoders

Carrots...

... and not a big fan! Last week we started Peyton on her 1st solids and it was anything orange. Brandon and I had a hard time picking between carrots, sweet potatos or squash so we placed then all in front of Peyton and let her pick. She reached out for the carrots and that is what she got. As you can see from the pictures that she did not enjoy them very much. The first couple of bites went down with no problem and then the sour face started. It was a little hard not to laugh at her, but I also wanted to make sure that she knew that the carrots were yummy and wanted to eat them.
Since that first night of eating solids things have been so much better. Peyton still is not a huge fan of carrots, but we have given her sweet potatos and she can not get enough of them.
Peyton taking her first bite of solid foods...
...not so sure I like this
...still thinking about

...I'm pretty sure I don't like these carrots

Weekend in Columbia...

...with Uncle Drew and friends. Last weekend we went to Columbia, Missouri for the weekend since K-State was playing MU and also to see Drew and some of our friends that use to work here at K-State with Brandon. It was a great weekend full of all kinds of fun and excitement. We stayed a couple of nights with the Hairstons' who have a daughter Harper that is just a year older than Peyton. They share the same birthday! It was a lot of fun to get the girls together and we just had to laugh at Harper because she really wanted Peyton to get up and run around with her but since she is a baby she couldn't. It was a great weekend with lots of fun memories.

Peyton with Uncle Drew at his apartment wearing her MU outfit that he got her.
I am just sure that Peyton is telling us to get her out of this Mizzou tigers outfit and into some purple before the game. Hahahaha!!!!

Harper and Peyton playing together before the game and showing off their MU outfits.
It was so cold for the game that Peyton was covered head-to-toe in layers. We all had a good laugh at Peyton's expense because she reminded us of the kid in the movie "A Christmas Story" that was unable to put his arms down. Remember? Poor girl...but she was warm!
Brandon and I during the game all bundled up together and the big purple bump on my lap is Peyton asleep under the blankets. We could not believe it but Peyton slept for the whole game under the blankets and stayed nice and warm too.
All of us trying to stay all bundled together to stay warm. If I could I would have rather been Peyton under the blankets all warm with no head wind in my face.

7 Months Old...

...and growing! Peyton turned 7 months a week and half ago, but I have been really busy and really bad about getting these pictures up here for you all to see. The weather has changed in Kansas big time in the last week and as you can tell she is in shorts in these pictures, but now is all bundled up for the cold cold days we have been having.

Enjoy the big grins of my little red!

Football Game...Peyton's Blessing...6th month b-day!!!!

We have been very busy for the past couple of weeks. Two weekends ago we had Stacy and Jeremy out to a football game since OU was in town to play KSU. We were very nice host and let OU put a beating on us, so needless to say Stacy and Jeremy were happy to make the trip out here. After the game we all drove back to KC to have Peyton's baby blessing on Sunday and to celebrate her 6th month birthday. It was a jam packed weekend with lots of good times with loved ones.

Stacy and I before the start of the football game. As you can tell she is swarmed with purple and the red really stuck out.
The whole gang right before kickoff. We all still look very happy!

On Sunday we had Peyton blessed by my Uncle Terry and Aunt Carol Ann Reiff. It meant a lot to Brandon and I to have them bless Peyton and we were so thankful that they were able to make the trip from Montana to share this special day with us. It was a wonderful service and Peyton was has perfect as could be during the blessing.

Peyton and I during the church service.

Aunt Carol Ann and Uncle Terry blessing Peyton. It was so precious to watch Peyton just look at her Great Uncle Terry with so much calmness during the whole time that he was saying his prayer for her blessing. It is one memory that I will never forget.

We had both of Peyton's Grandparents stand up with us during her blessing. It means a lot to us that we have such wonderful parents to share these special moments with us. Peyton has the best grandparents any child could every ask for. We love you all very much!

After the church service we celebrated Peyton's 6th month birthday with the family. It was so much fun to celebrate and Peyton had lots of fun getting all kinds of wonderful gifts. Peyton has lots of people that love her and we are very thankful for that.

Peyton was very excited about the money that Great Grandma and Grandpa got her that I was having a hard time getting it in the bank fast enough. Thank you both very much for the "piggie" bank!
