Crazy Hair!!!

With all this hair we gets lots of attention!

OKC for the Big 12 Baseball Championships

Peyton and I packed our bags and headed to Oklahoma City, OK to stay with Dad for the Big 12 Baseball Championships. I was a little unsure of how the week was going to go since we were going to be there from Tuesday to Sunday. Also a little worried about the 5 hour drive. Peyton is a great traveler and pretty much slept for the whole week. We went to 6 baseball games and she slept during all the games. The only game that was a little tough was the championship game and I think that she was just really hot like the rest of us, so she had the right to be a little fussy. I had never been to Bricktown before and it is a great place to stay for a week to watch lots of baseball. Everything is within walking distance and we got lots of walking in during the week. We had great weather and ate tons a good food. I am glad that we went down for the week and I am very thankful that I have such a wonderful baby girl.

We drove down with the Tadtmans. Katie's husband also works for the baseball team and she has two little ones and her daughter Aubrey is a month older than Peyton. Here are the girls riding in the car on the way to OKC.

Craig Foster came to OKC to see us for a couple of games. It was great to see him and it was the first time that he had seen Peyton.

Kelly's First Mother's Day

I hope that all the Mom's that I know had a great Mother's Day last Sunday. I was able to travel home to spend my first Mother's day with my Mom. Brandon was out of town with the Baseball team playing Oklahoma, but made sure to celebrate Mother's Day early with Peyton and I. My wonderful husband and baby girl got me a beautiful diamond necklace. I am a lucky Mom, because Peyton's birth stone is a diamond!

Peyton turns 1 Month!!!

Where did the month go? It is just crazy to me that Peyton is already a month old. We have had such a great time being home together and I hope that this next month will not go by so fast before I have to go back to work.

1 Month check-up:
Weight: 8lbs. 11oz. 18%
Height: 21 1/2 inches 67%
Head: 38cm

How Peyton is doing:
She is such a good baby and does not fuss unless there is something that she needs like...food, diaper change, and just wants to be loved and carried around.
After she eats she will fall a sleep, but sometimes she will fight sleep and we have to walk around or rock to sleep. She will also take her pacifier for a little while and likes to hold on to my fingers until she is comfortable and falls a sleep.
If she gets gas she will kick her legs like crazy and will swing her arms back and forth.
We are starting to get little smiles, but they happen when she is tired and just starting to fall a sleep. We can't wait until she will look at us and give us a huge smile.
Hair...Is not going anywhere. Peyton has not lost any hair yet and we don't have any bald spots. We sleep on our side, so I am sure that this is helping to not get a bald spot on the back of our head.

Sleep!!! Peyton is starting to sleep for 6 hours at night. For the past 5 days we have sleep for 6 hours each night and it has been so great for Mom. Last Thursday night she sleep for 8 hours for the first time and I woke up in a panic because this was the first time that she sleep for longer then 4 hours. I don't think that I jumped out of bed so fast to check on her. We are really starting to get into a great routine of sleep and nursing.

SORRY!!!!!

I am so sorry that I have not been able to post more pictures. Everything is going well. It didn't take long before Peyton started getting the hang of the whole feeding and it has made life great, but hard to get around. I am not one for nursing in public, so right now we are only able to get out of the house for just a couple of hours. I am sure that I will get over it and will start nursing in public, but right now it is not my thing. Peyton is a good baby and loves to be loved all the time. (Meaning held!!!) Most of the time I end up getting good sleep at night, but not always. We have started Peyton on gas drops after being up with her for 2 hours the first night home crying and screaming. Things are much better now. Most of the time when I don't get a good nights rest is because Peyton wants to be held and then will fall asleep on my chest and I end up getting some sleep, but not great. We went to the doctor last week and Peyton only dropped down to 7lbs. 5oz. from 7ilbs. 7oz. when we left the hospital. We go back for her one month appointment on May 2nd.

Here are a ton of pictures that I have been taking over the past couple of weeks. I will do my best to post more often.

Here is Peyton at one week old.

I love my swing!

Peyton is doing very well and we have gotten the feeding thing down. We go to the doctor on Wednesday to get checked out and I am sure that she will be getting another shot, so I am hoping that she handles it as well as all the other shots.

We love our swing and spend lots of time in it. I could not get her to look right at me because the TV was on and she just kept looking that way.

Welcome Peyton Allison Yoder

Peyton Allison Yoder was born Wednesday, April 2nd at 2:18pm. She was 7lbs 13oz and was 19 3/4 inches. It only took 5 hours of labor before we could see our brown headed girl. She is all Brandon! She has his eyes (Blue/Gray) nose, and mouth. She has my chin and ears. We were totally shocked when she came out with a head full of hair. We had a little problem right at first getting her to breast feed, but she has gotten the hang of it in the last couple of days. She is such a good baby and Brandon and I can not get enough of her.

Enjoy all the pictures and remember to click on the picture to make it bigger.
