I went to my weekly check-up with the doctor to see if there was any change. There was a change and I am now dilated to 4cm and my cervix is still softening! Brandon was able to go to this appointment with me and we had lots of questions for the doctor.
Here is the Q & A with Dr. Roles:
Q: What size do you think this baby is?
A: "I would say that you have a good size baby in there around 8 pounds."
Q: Do we have any way of knowing if she will have a big head like her father did?
A: "We can get an idea about how big she will be off of how big (Kelly) was as a baby, but there is nothing that can tell us the size of her head."
Q: Now that I have changed from 3cm to 4cm, do you think that I will make it to my due date?
A: "This is just a guess, but I would say that you will have this baby within the next week or week in a half."
Brandon and I are very excited knowing that she could be here within the week or next week. Now the doctor could be wrong and she could hang out for a while and not be here until her due date, but we are ready for her whenever she decides to show up.

37 Weeks...3 weeks to go!
How Peyton's growing:
Congratulations — your baby is full term! This means that if your baby arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away.
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

I went to the doctor on Monday and nothing has changed since my last visit. I am still 3cm dilated and that is a good thing because Brandon left with the baseball team to Utah and won't be back until Wednesday night. Nusery is getting so close to being complete...
I have been telling you about all the hard work that Brandon and I have been doing in the nursery, so I thought that I better show you some pictures to prove it. Brandon did a great job putting the crib and changing table together and I love that as soon as they went up we were able to make more room in the closet for more of Peyton's things. There is still more things coming, so as soon as we get them in I will have to take more updated pictures and I hope at that time we will have it all completed.
Here is Peyton's beautiful crib. I love her bedding and it looks great with the wall colors. Also you can see that I have her bag all packed and ready to go.
The matching changing table. We are still working on getting this all organized, so right now it is a great spot that I put things I am not sure where I am going to put them just yet. Brandon and I never saw what this would look like besides picture online and we were both very happy with how it looks in the nursery. It is the perfect size.
Full closet! Look at all those clothes already. When we get are other things done in the nursery the closet will look better and not so packed.
Thanks to my parents for coming out last weekend and helping me get more things together in the nursery. Dad you did a great job of touching up the paint and making it so I would not look at it and go crazy everytime I looked at it. Mom thanks for making trips around down and getting more of those last minute things done around the house. The nursery is looking better and better every time I walk in there. Thank you and we love you both.
Brett and Debbie are coming down this weekend for Drew's Birthday and I am so excited to have them see what we have been doing and I am sure that I will get lots more help and making sure that everything is ready for Miss Peyton.

36 Weeks...Count Down until Peyton arrives (4 weeks!)
How Peyton's growing:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.

I have been having headaches and I was glad that my blood pressure was good at 116/72. Peyton's heartbeat sounded good and very strong, so that was great to hear. I am dilated to 3cm and my cervix is starting to soften. Dr. Roles was unable to tell if Peyton was in the head down position, so I got to see her again today during the sonogram to find out. She is in the head down position and looking very healthy. I was able to see her heartbeat and she was breathing, so it was nice to see her lungs moving up and down. The doctor was also pleased to see this, because it means that she is very healthy and being head down we don't have to worry about having a C-Section. Really I am just glad that I was able to see her again, because it had been a long time since my last sonogram. We also talked and if I feel like we want to go ahead we can plan a date to be induced. We will just have to wait and see, because you never know at this point if she wants to come out tomorrow or in 4 weeks. Brandon and I have some thinking to do!
This is all very exciting and makes us a little bit more urgent in getting everything that we will need right at first together.

Doctor's Appointment moved to Wednesday...
As I was pulling into the doctor's office last night I got a call telling me that Dr. Roles was stuck at the hopsital. My appointment has been moved to Wednesday, so I will not have any updates until then.

35 Weeks...5 more weeks to go!
How Peyton's growing:
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
*No new news to report on besides that I am still feeling great. I go to the doctor on Monday, March 10th and will go every Monday until Peyton arrives. I am finding it funny that most of you are picking that she will arrive in March. I guess we will just have to wait and see when she decides to show up.
*Brandon gets back home today! Being gone for a week seemed so long and I am ready for him to get home. He is excited and ready to be home and to look at all the great gifts that we got over the weekend. Good thing this is the longest road trip of the season.

Kansas City Baby Shower!
I was in Kansas City this weekend for a wonderful baby shower. It was so nice to see all of my family and friends and to go back home with tons of great gifts. My sister was a great host and all the guest were very excited as they left with their great shower gifts. Thanks Stacy for everything you did and it was a fantastic baby shower! Thank you to everyone else for being there and making this such a wonderful time for Brandon and I as we are very excited and can't wait until Peyton arrives.

My grandma made this blanket for Peyton. I was so excited to see it and I love it and I know that Peyton will love it too! Thanks Grandma it turned out great.
Katie "Mac" Hoyt sent us a burp cloth and bib that say Peyton. Thanks Katie! They are so cute and we will get great use out of them.
