Big 12 Baseball Tournament in OKC

Well if you know us well than you know that KSU Baseball is in full swing and when you are winning you get to go to fun places and do fun things. Last week we were able to go down to Oklahoma City for 4 days to hang out with Dad (Brandon) and watch KSU play in the Big 12 Baseball Championships. We did this last year when Peyton was 2 months old (I know I am a crazy Mom) and had a great time, so we were not going to miss it this year. Even though we didn't make it to the championship game this year we had more fun doing other things than just baseball this time.

Here is what we did on our little baseball vacation.

Wednesday: Woke up and went to the ballpark to watch the guys play there game at 9am.

Thursday: Spent some family time together and went to the Myriad Gardens and feed the ducks, geese and saw water turtles. Went swimming in the pool and Peyton hated it. (The water was cold!) Relaxed and then headed over to watch the Cats play at 7:30pm.

Friday: Went to the OKC Zoo!

Saturday: Watched the Cats play a good game vs. Texas but we lost so we packed our bags and headed back to Manhattan.

There are some really good pictures of Brandon and Peyton at the Gardens, but I have them saved on Brandon's computer. I will make sure to post them so I can show that we were able to spend sometime with Daddy on this trip.

Peyton loved feeding the ducks. This is down on the canel in Bricktown before Thursday nights game. Peyton laughed so hard when the ducks would fight over the bread.

Brandon didn't have to work too hard this week. This was the only time that he had to come out to check on a player. Sorry it is so dark.

I am sure that he is tell him to suck it up it is only your toe!

Peyton cheering on the cats

OKC Zoo!

We had a lot of fun even if it was hot. The kids had a great time and lasted longer than I was thinking that they would.

This is the only shot that I took of any animal

Peyton fell asleep right before we got to the Zoo. I hated to wake her, but I didn't want her to miss out seeing the animals

Just woke up and not sure why she is so high in the air looking at this tall animal eating leaves

There is my happy girl! She was so happy to see the Gorillas and I was just happy that they were so close to the windows. They were the only animals that were this close to get any good pictures

Good Friends!

On Monday I headed home to KC to see my family and to pick up Wrigley. Thanks Mom and Dad for watching her for us while we were out of town. It was great to see the family and to spend a little time together even if it was a short trip.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day this year was at the ballpark. It was a great day to spend with Peyton and our baseball family watching the game. It was also a hard day for me not being with my Mom. I am so excited to get to see her this weekend and to spend some time together. I love you Mom...I am the Mom I am today because of you!

Quarter Dog Night at the Ballpark

Wednesday night it was Quarter Dog night at the ball game and Peyton loved getting to eat some hot dogs for dinner. It was a great night to be at the ballpark and the Cats won big 22-1 against North Dakota. Peyton is having a lot of fun this year at the games playing around in the suite, cheering on the guys and dancing to the music.

Big smiles for Hot Dog night at the ballpark
Eat hot dog...see hot dog
Peyton and Aubrey have a lot of fun together and they both are big cheese balls for the camera.
This makes me smile!
Peyton still working the camera...

The #16 ranked KSU Baseball team is at Stillwater, OK this weekend to take on Oklahoma State. Good Luck Cats! Bring home some wins!!

Little Pig Tails!!!

Over the weekend I finally decided to try to pull Peyton's hair back into pig tails. They are little but they are there. I was so excited even though Peyton cried the whole time I was pulling her hair back. I hope that she will start to get use to them so I can start pulling her hair back more often because it is starting to get really long and in her eyes all the time. Her hair is so beautiful and I WILL NOT cut it for a long time!!
The little pig tails were so cute I had to take tons of pictures!

Almost time for the Wedding!

Last weekend Peyton and I went to Topeka to see Shana for her Wedding Shower. We were so excited to see her, since the last time was at Christmas. It was so great to see her and it only made me more excited for the wedding that is coming up quickly in June. Brandon and I are both in the wedding that is in HAWAII!!! Neither one of us has been there and we can't wait.

Easter Weekend

Peyton and I went home to Kansas City for the Easter weekend to spend a little time with family and friends. It was a great weekend and it always seems like the time goes too quickly and before we know it the weekend is over and we have to drive back to Manhattan.
Peyton checking out her Easter basket that was waiting for her Sunday morning
Happy Easter! Peyton looked so cute in her dress...I loved it!
I think that she is just so cute when she sits up in a big girl chair
Not tall enough yet to reach into her basket but she was really trying

After Church we had a brunch and a Easter egg hunt. It was so cold and windy, but the rain hadn't started yet so we were able to go outside for a little while to find some eggs.

Peyton was more interested in checking out the eggs and would not look up at me to take a picture

Since the weather in Kansas City was cold and raining we ended up having the Easter Egg Hunt in the basement of my brother Michael's house.

During Easter we also celebrated the family birthdays in the month of March and April.
Here is Lily opening up the gifts we got her. She really did like the little dog even if her face doesn't look like it here.
Lily had already tossed the clothes down before I could get a picture...She was really funny this year with opening up her gifts and would move on quickly to open the next present
Jon checking everything out from up above...Silly Boy!

Here is a video of Peyton and Lily playing and laughing together. I have to laugh watching this because first of all I am not sure why Lily is only in her tights without her dress on. Second Lily wants to sit with Peyton in "Lily's" chair and you really get to see Peyton show us a little attitude. I hope this is not a sign of whats to come.
