...smell my feet. Happy Halloween to everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful time last weekend. Since Peyton is a little too young to go trick or treating we decided to go to the ballpark where her Daddy was coaching fall baseball and show off how cute she looked.

Football Game...Peyton's Blessing...6th month b-day!!!!

We have been very busy for the past couple of weeks. Two weekends ago we had Stacy and Jeremy out to a football game since OU was in town to play KSU. We were very nice host and let OU put a beating on us, so needless to say Stacy and Jeremy were happy to make the trip out here. After the game we all drove back to KC to have Peyton's baby blessing on Sunday and to celebrate her 6th month birthday. It was a jam packed weekend with lots of good times with loved ones.

Stacy and I before the start of the football game. As you can tell she is swarmed with purple and the red really stuck out.
The whole gang right before kickoff. We all still look very happy!

On Sunday we had Peyton blessed by my Uncle Terry and Aunt Carol Ann Reiff. It meant a lot to Brandon and I to have them bless Peyton and we were so thankful that they were able to make the trip from Montana to share this special day with us. It was a wonderful service and Peyton was has perfect as could be during the blessing.

Peyton and I during the church service.

Aunt Carol Ann and Uncle Terry blessing Peyton. It was so precious to watch Peyton just look at her Great Uncle Terry with so much calmness during the whole time that he was saying his prayer for her blessing. It is one memory that I will never forget.

We had both of Peyton's Grandparents stand up with us during her blessing. It means a lot to us that we have such wonderful parents to share these special moments with us. Peyton has the best grandparents any child could every ask for. We love you all very much!

After the church service we celebrated Peyton's 6th month birthday with the family. It was so much fun to celebrate and Peyton had lots of fun getting all kinds of wonderful gifts. Peyton has lots of people that love her and we are very thankful for that.
Peyton opening up her gift from The Manuel's. She was very excited about the books and was already to read them right then. Thank you!
Peyton was very excited about the money that Great Grandma and Grandpa got her that I was having a hard time getting it in the bank fast enough. Thank you both very much for the "piggie" bank!

Opening up the gift from Grandma & Grandpa Reiff. This girl is really into her books! Thanks!!

Unwrapping her gift with Mom from Grandma & Grandpa Yoder. Thank you!
Uncle Drew was able to make it in late Saturday night to be there for Peyton's blessing. Thank you very much for being there with us and being able to take some time off away from Mizzou football. Peyton got her first MU outfit from Uncle Drew. We will show if off at a later date!
Hanging out with Grandma Reiff before we got in the car to head back to Manhattan.

Brandon, Peyton and I are so blessed to have such wonderful families that we love and that love us. We are so thankful for everyone that was able to be there for Peyton on Sunday.

a little bit of this...a little bit of that...

Here are some pictures of Peyton from the last couple of weeks. She is really changing all the time and I try so hard to have the camera there to capture everything.

New things that Peyton is doing:
* On the weekends she will sleep in until 10am if I am able to let her. I love this!!!!
* Loves to sit on the floor and play with her toys.
* Still learning that she has a voice and everyday will start making different sounds.
Peyton playing with her toys on the floor before going to bed.
These pictures were a surprise that Brandon had taken of the two of them playing last week. Peyton is rolling under the coffee table.

I love this one even though it is a little blurry. I can just tell that she is having so much fun with her Dad and her smile makes me so happy.
Peyton playing with her toy blocks. You can really start to see her personality in these photos of her playing. She is such a happy baby and I am so thankful for that everyday.
Being a little goofy...
Sweet smile...
Serous playing...
Last weekend I was in Kansas City to walk/run a 1/2 Marathon that my family has done together for the past 2 years. We had a pasta party on Friday night to get all charged up for the big race. It was time for bed so all the cousins joined in for their first bath time together with Peyton.
All the kids in the tub! This was Peyton's first time to take a bath in a tub without her little bath tub. You can tell that I am very close and watching...

All of the girls playing in the water...
Playing with Audrey's toy on Saturday morning after the race. Okay she is looking too big....little tears from Mom

Yummy...Rice Cereal!

Last night Peyton had her first taste of Rice Cereal! I have to be honest with you that Brandon and I tried it to see what it tasted like. We thought it tasted really plain and was not sure what Peyton would think or even like it. She loved it! Peyton could not get enough, and it made it so easy on Brandon and I to feed her.

Here is Peyton looking like a big girl in her high chair all ready to take her first bite.
Daddy giving Peyton her first bite of rice cereal. Brandon was so excited to get to feed her! It's not like he has been waiting 6 months for this moment!!
Daddy I want more, give me more!
Mom had to get in on all the fun!
Peyton really wanted to eat the rice cereal and it was nice not feeling like we were making and forcing her to eat it.
Yummy rice cereal face!
Happy girl all cleaned up with a full belly.
Check out Brandon feeding Peyton rice cereal for the first time last night.

Sitting up and Poor Cubs

Last weekend was filled with all kinds of fun stuff. Grandma and Grandpa Reiff were in town and we went to the K-State football game on Saturday, which I forgot the camera:( It was not such a great game for the Wildcats and we took off at halftime because it was so bad. So we ended up just going home and hanging out until the Missouri game came on to watch for Uncle Drew and also cheer on the Cubs and try to bring them some luck. It didn't work for the Cubs they still lost and are out of the playoffs.

In the past week Peyton has done so much that it is hard to believe. She started to sit up on her own. We have to get her started, but she will then be able to sit there without our support. She started to give us big belly laughs. Right now Wrigley is the only one that can get her to laugh like that, even with all the crazy things that I try. It is so much fun watching her do all kinds of new things, but then it is a reminder that my baby girl is getting older and I have to take all this in because it will be gone soon.

Here are lots of fun pictures of last Saturday.
Peyton showing off her Cubs outfit and showing us how she can sit up like a big girl.
Peyton is doing so well and will be able to sit there for a couple of minutes before she decides that's enough and will roll back onto her back.
Wrigley is showing Peyton how to sit. I know it looks weird, but that is how Wrigley likes to sit sometimes. Grandpa and Peyton just hanging out before we leave for dinner.
I love my Grandpa!
Peyton and Dad showing their support to Mizzou and the Cubs. Sorry Uncle Drew we don't have any MU clothes to put her in, so we went with the Cubs.

Peyton is 6 Months Old!!!

Peyton turned 6 months old yesterday!
Here are 6 new things that Peyton has started doing:
1. Peyton will give the biggest smiles now when ever she sees you.
2. When she is talking it really sounds like she is saying "Yeah" but she says it in a hush sound.
3. Rolls all over the place. This girl is mobile and you have to keep an eye on her always.
4. Is just like her Mom and does not like to get up in the morning. She gives me the same face that I give to Brandon in the morning and I am sure that I gave to my Mom.
5. Makes lots of noises and her favorite sounds like a tiger. She even opens her mouth with a big growl. It's too funny. I'll work on getting a video of this...
6. Has started to sit up on her own! It might only be for a couple of seconds, but that's something.
Here is Peyton looking like a big girl at 6 months!

The teddys toes are just as good as mine in the mouth! Peyton has started pulling just her right foot up into her mouth in the last week.

This is just too cute...

Here is a very short video of Peyton sitting up. I am the one taping this and it is hard to tape and make sure she doesn't wipe out. You can see that she sits up for a couple of seconds and then wipes out. I'll get another video of her later, but she was doing this last night so I wanted to show you all that she is able to do this on her own!

*Peyton goes to the doctor today for her 6 month well check and I'll let you know how that goes and just how big this girl is getting. Wish me luck since I will be taking her myself this time and I hope that she handles her shots as well as she did last time.
