Colten's Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to Colten's 3rd Birthday Party. He is the son of our friends the Tadtman's and Peyton's friend. It was a great time and Peyton loved playing in the bouncy house.

Here are a bunch of pictures of Peyton having a great time!

Loving it!
Peyton and Mommy at the Birthday party
They had a pinata! The kids loved it and everyone took a turn.
Here is the birthday boy Colten giving some good swings at it.
Peyton wanted to pick up every last piece of candy that was left on the ground.
The Choo Choo Train "Thomas" was very cute and good!
Peyton loved the cake. She looks too big in this picture for me...sad mommy:(

The party was so much fun and it was great to see a lot of our friends that we have not seen in awhile. Things are crazy with everything going on and we all needed this break. The party was great Katie and Justin and thanks for the invite!

The past week in our lives...

Last weekend Peyton and I went home to Kansas City to celebrate my Birthday with the family and to do lots of Christmas shopping. I could not have asked for a better day shopping with my Mom on Saturday. Even when we didn't find everything that we were looking for it was still a great time and I ended up getting really close to being done. I don't get to have many days like that anymore with my Mom and it was truly a wonderful day and one that I wish we could do more often.
On Sunday we went over to my Grandparents place to have lunch and cake for my Birthday. I had not been to their new place yet and I loved it. I can see why they really wanted to move there so badly.
I love this picture of the kids sitting and playing so nice together.
Singing Happy Birthday!
Peyton wanted to take a turn blowing out the candles. I love Ryan in the background!
Showing off my new video camera. I can't wait to use it at Christmas!
Grandpa and Grandma Horton checking out pictures of baby Grayson David.
Peyton got an early Christmas present from her Great Grandparents.
Ride Horsey! Ride Horsey! Is what she says all the time now. I think that this girl dreams about that horse every night. She rides it every night for at least an hour or more.
Brandon got this K-State headband as a gift on Monday and Peyton puts it on her head every night...silly girl!

Peyton loves playing Basketball or she would say "B-Ball" We need to get her a new basketball to shoot hoops with, but she is having just as much fun shooting with a baseball.
-Check her out...

14 Weeks...

Welcome to the second trimester! This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him -- a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches -- about the size of a lemon -- and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me!
It has been another great year filled with many wonderful memories. I feel very blessed for the life that I live and the people that care about me. I'm sure that this next year is only going to keep getting better.
Me and Peyton this morning
Flashback to last year. I have not changed much, but look at Peyton. My big girl!
I have already received many Birthday wishes and I want to Thank you all. It is great to have such wonderful family and friends who care about you.

Peyton Allison would like to say...

I'M THE
BIGSISTER!!!

That is right! Brandon and I are going to be having another baby and Peyton is going to be the big sister. We are very excited and looking forward to this new journey in our lives.

Here is a quick update and hopefully I can answer some questions.

When is the Due Date: June 14, 2010
Are we going to find out the sex: YES
How far along are you? I am 13 weeks. We went to see the doctor last Monday and heard the heartbeat. It was a strong 153 bpm
How are you feeling? I have been feeling great. Hardly any morning sickness which has been great. I have been having gall bladder pain again this time, so that is not a lot of fun.
I will make sure and keep you all updated with this baby as much as I did with Peyton.

Thanksgiving Weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving...only 2 weeks later!
Thanksgiving was a great time to be with family. We were a very small group this year and it was exceptionally hard to not be with Brandon this year. We knew that this was a possibility when he took over basketball that Holidays were going to be a little bit tougher and that he might not be able to be at all, but it is easier to talk about them until they really get here and you have to go through it without him.
Michael and Elsa were also gone this year and Jon and Lily stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house the whole week. It was great to watch Peyton get to spend so much time with her cousins. I think that they all had a blast and had lots of fun together. Lily was so sweet and loved to comb Peyton's hair. I was shocked to watch Peyton just stand there and let Lily do this, and lots of times Peyton would come and stand in front of her so she would start combing her hair. It was fun to watch.

It was early...Peyton and Lily are watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade together.
Stacy and Elsa found these cute outfits for the girls to wear on Thanksgiving. It is hard to find matching outfits that all of them can wear. They looked very cute!
I love this picture because Peyton is totally giving us the biggest smile.
We had to get one with "The Boy"poor or lucky Jon the only boy in the family
Peyton and Audrey showing us their dance moves
The girls played pretty well together. Learning to share was a big lesson that Peyton was not wanting to learn with Audrey.
Friday we took the kids to Crown Center to see Santa Claus. It was a little nuts down there on Black Friday but was still a good time.
Peyton, Jon and Lily checking out the large Ginger Bread House display
They loved it and we stood there for awhile just letting them look at everything.
Peyton really liked the trains that would go around. Every time the train got close she would say "Choo..Choo!"
Letting her get a closer view. It was a little scary to take her out of the stroller, but I wanted to let her check it out like the big kids. I was also hoping for a picture together, but Peyton would not take her eyes off the display for anything.
Jon and Lily were so cute checking out this Santa on display and getting so excited to really get to see him soon.
To waste some time we took the kids to the Westin Hotel to check out the fountain and Christmas trees. Peyton loved the water and I think if she could have she would have jumped in.
Checking out the tree and trying to decide if she can tough it or not
Before you go to see Santa you get to play in the Crayola Land. Peyton loved this and wanted to keep going through it over and over again even though the rules are that you can only go through it once. She didn't care...must take after her Father!
Peyton getting some help from Grandma Reiff to get up the steps to the slide.
Getting ready to slide down
Peyton in the Crayon Tunnel. She loved this and went back several times.
Back for a second time to hang out with Audrey
The girls getting ready to head down another slide together
Peyton was not so sure about this slide...notice the hand gripping the side as tight as she can.
She loved the Crayon House and would just hang out in there checking everything out
The 4 bigger kids at the end of the Crayola Land excited to see Santa
Santa! Peyton had a 50% chance of how she was going to handle seeing Santa and this was the face that she did the whole time. No crying so that was great. Santa gave her some stickers and she gave him a high-5 and told him Bye...Bye.
The weather was so nice that we went out to see the Christmas Tree lights that was just turned on earlier that night and we were lucky enough to be there while they put on a musical fountain display. It was really a lot fun to watch and the kids seemed to like it.
That night we went to Fritz's to have dinner. I had never been there before and let me tell you it was a great time. You order your food over the phone at your table and then a Train brings it out to your table. Peyton was so excited to see all the trains that would come out and every time there was one she would point and say "Choo...Choo!" The food was good and I am sure that we will have to go back next time we are in town. It was a great way to end a good day.
On Saturday K-State was playing a basketball game at the Sprint Center so we packed up the kids to go watch and also to see Brandon. I had no idea where our seats were going to be and they were excellent. We were right behind the bench on the front row.
Can you find Brandon?
Peyton with Grandpa Reiff cheering on the Cats.
Grandma Reiff with Jon and Lily watching the game.

It was a great Thanksgiving Break packed with lots of fun activities. Thanks to my parents for helping me make more great memories.
