29 Weeks

Your baby is growing rapidly now. This week she weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is getting bigger to accommodate her growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester.

Peyton wanted to join me this week for my belly picture. It is just killing me how much bigger I am right now than I was with Peyton. I just keep telling myself that this is my second child...this is my second child...this is my second child. I am feeling okay. No shocker but my gall bladder is still hurting and now I have started to get some serious back pain right around my right shoulder blade. Besides those two things I am feeling great.

By the way, I was MUCH bigger with Waylon as well. But I am now smaller than I have been since high school, so you will have plenty of "opportunities" to work it off chasing 2 kiddos around : )!
