sick
Peyton has been sick all morning and has not been able to keep any food down. We were trying to get her ready for daycare this morning, but after we dressed her in two outfits and she was still get sick we decided that she needed to stay home. Brandon has been home with her this morning and I will be taking off the second half of the day to be with her. She is not running a fever, but she is all stuffed up and has a lot of drainage that is causing the problem. It really hurts me to see her not feeling well and this morning was a real tough one. Please be thinking about Peyton today that she starts to feel better soon.
CRAWLING!
Last night it was very exciting at the Yoder house. We have been watching Peyton for the last couple of weeks look like she is about to crawl and then last night...she CRAWLED!
We placed Daddy's watch out in front of her last night to see if she would crawl to it and she started to army crawl her way across the living room floor to get to the watch. It was very exciting to watch and hard not to cry that my baby girl is getting bigger. This is a huge step for Peyton and we are looking forward to watching her get even better at crawling in the coming weeks.
Watch Peyton army crawl for the very first time!

We survived!
This past weekend we let Peyton go up to spend the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Yoder. It was the first time that I have ever been away from Peyton overnight! Even though it was hard for both of us it was something that needed to be done. This summer Brandon and I are going to Hawaii for 13 days for vacation and our friends wedding and Peyton will not be making the trip with us. We decided that we better get in a few weekends of practice without Peyton so it won't be such a huge shock for (Kelly!) that many days without seeing her.
Peyton had a great time and so did Grandma and Grandpa. Mom and Dad survived the weekend even though on Saturday night we had a little moment of okay what do we do now. It was a very relaxing weekend and something that Brandon and I both needed.
Thanks Brett and Debbie for taking Peyton for the weekend and I know that you didn't spoil her too much!

Yeah...I have pretty cool babysitters!
Last week we were invited to a surprise birthday party for Brandon's Boss that was turning 30, so we needed to leave Peyton home with a babysitter. This was the first time that we have ever left her with anyone besides family members. When we found out about the party it was not hard to find someone to watch her. Several of the girls on the K-State basketball team have been telling us before Peyton was even born that they would be happy to watch her anytime we needed them. So instead of having a problem of finding a babysitter it turns into more of having a problem of asking which ones to watch her first. Brandon's office is in Bramlage so he sees all of the girls daily, so when Shalee Lehning and Shalin Spani walked into the training room he asked them first. If you follow K-State sports at all those names will ring a bell. Shalee Lehning is our All-American candidate with too many awards and records to name and Shalin Spani is the daughter of Gary Spani, former KSU and KC Chiefs football player. So yeah their pretty cool babysitters to have for the first time! They all had a great time together and Peyton was a good baby for both of them, so and it was nice for Mom and Dad to get out for the evening.
The KSU Women's basketball team is (14-0) and having a great season to date. Tonight they travel to Norman to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. We wish them GOOD LUCK and bring back another W!!!

Yoder Family picture on Christmas Day
The Friday after Christmas we got together with some of our good friends from college and there kids. Here is a shot of all the kids together and Peyton was not a happy camper because she was ready for her bottle.
I love Emerson's face in this picture and poor Peyton is just not happy
It was great seeing all of you and fun to get the kids together.
On our way back home we had to make a stop in Topeka when we found out our good friends Scott and Shana were going to be there. It was great to see them even though it was not long enough. We miss you guys and can't wait until June for the wedding!

Happy 9 Months Peyton!
Peyton turned 9 months on Friday!
What PEYTON is up to these days:
* Not crawling yet, but will roll all over the place to get what she wants.
* Bottom right tooth is making its way through and it looks like we might be getting more teeth in the near future.
* Started to feed herself finger foods.
* I have seen her clap a few times, but I don't think that she knows that is what she is doing.
Here is our cutie in her new outfit from Aunt Stacy and Uncle Jeremy for Christmas!
